Additionally, we offer specialized therapy for professional athletes, addressing the mental challenges associated with high-performance sports. Embarking on a therapeutic journey with him allows individuals to unveil the calm amidst the storm. As the youngest of six in a large family, he has always been recognized as a calming presence, a quality that shapes his approach to personal and professional endeavors. His journey reflects a commitment to academic and athletic empowerment, inviting those seeking support to connect with a therapist whose resilience is rooted in sports and dedication to holistic well-being.

During his collegiate years, his strengths extended beyond the basketball court, playing a pivotal role in his journey as one of the few collegiate players drafted into the NBA. His path later led him to conflict resolution and ultimately to earning a Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, where he specialized in Children and Families Therapy. Utilizing evidence-based interventions, he supports adults and elementary and high school students, fostering social and emotional learning development to empower adults in effectively supporting students.

Recognizing the significant mental health service gaps for Black and Brown men, he founded the Mindful Brothers Collective Foundation to enhance accessibility to therapy. He is passionate about breaking down barriers to mental health support, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent individuals from receiving the care they need. His mission is to create an inclusive environment where no one is turned away due to an inability to pay, reaffirming his commitment to serving those often underserved.

The healing and growth journey for clients begins with the unique experiences he brings to the therapeutic relationship. His approach, grounded in empathy, focuses on listening and understanding the full spectrum of each individual’s narrative, from accomplishments to life’s challenges. Together, clients can embark on a transformative journey of growth, healing, and self-discovery, guided by lessons learned from both the basketball court and counseling room. His transition from a successful basketball career to conflict resolution reflects his passion for understanding people and fostering growth in diverse arenas, integrating resilience, discipline, and teamwork into a supportive therapeutic environment.
